For municipalities and cities

Events, activities and services from your municipality in one view

FinnVibe collects listings published for the municipality. In its own administration, the municipality defines the content groups, available categories, appearance and approver for each view. An approved view can be published as an embed or a public FinnVibe link.

The municipality manages its own views

Municipal users process listings only from their own municipality and decide what appears in municipal views.

Only listings from your municipality

The approval queue is limited by the municipality selected in the listing. A municipality does not process listings from other municipalities.

The municipality defines the views

In its own administration, the municipality selects events, activities and services, their available categories, headings, appearance and approver.

Embed or public link

The same approved content can be shown on the municipal website in an iframe or opened through a separate public FinnVibe link.

Benefits for the municipality, residents and visitors

Local providers maintain their listings, the municipality approves content for its own views, and users find current local options.

For the municipality

Local content in one manageable system.

  • Listings matching the municipal view are automatically added for approval
  • The approver receives an email about a new or materially changed listing
  • The municipality can approve, reject or request corrections
  • The municipality can create several views and define their content in its own administration

For residents and visitors

Current local options in an easy-to-browse view.

  • Events, activities and services in one view
  • Times, location, description and contact details together
  • Directions directly to the event or destination
  • Nearby options based on location in FinnVibe mobile search

How FinnVibe for municipalities works

1. The municipality builds a view

The municipality selects content groups and available categories and defines headings, appearance and the approver in its own administration.

2. Listings are submitted for approval

When an event, activity or service listing from the municipality matches the view rules, it is added to the approval queue and the approver receives an email.

3. Approved content is published

Approved and current listings appear in the selected embed or public municipal page. A listing may already be visible in FinnVibe under the service’s own publishing rules.
